Dietitian

Louise Micklethwaite

BSc (Hons) Dietetics and MSc Leadership in Health and Social Care.

I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council  (HCPC) and a member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA).

I have worked as a Dietition, largely within the NHS, for over 20 years with experience of a diverse range of clients within inpatient, outpatient and community services.

I aim to work collaboratively with clients and their families to achieve a nutritionally adequate diet that is tailored to the indiviual's needs and preferences, and to support clients to learn to trust food again. This includes communicating accurate information about food, nutrition and physiology.

Depending on individual needs, this may involve a prescriptive diet aiming to maintain, lose or gain weight, or agreeing specific, realistic and achievable dietary goals aiming to improve the nurtritional quality of the diet.
